No surprise bills for routine care. Your exams, hygiene appointments and X-rays are covered by a simple monthly amount.

There's no requirement to be "dentally fit" to sign up. If you have outstanding work, you can still join and get back on track.

Your questions answered
Do I need a dental assessment before joining?
No. Denplan Essentials has no requirement to be "dentally fit". You can sign up even if you have outstanding treatment. Any treatment you need is simply planned alongside your membership.
Which band should I choose?
It depends on how often you'd like to be seen. Band A covers one exam and one hygiene visit a year; Bands C and D include quarterly hygiene visits for a consistently fresh feeling. Your dentist will happily recommend the right band for your mouth at your next appointment.
How do I pay?
By fixed monthly direct debit through Denplan, part of Simplyhealth. Once you're a member there's nothing to pay at your routine exams, hygiene visits or X-rays because it's all covered by the plan.
What treatment isn't covered?
Restorative work such as fillings, crowns, bridges and dentures is paid for separately, but plan members receive 10% off our private fees for restorative treatment and teeth whitening. Implants, root canal, specialist referrals, lab fees, sedation and prescriptions are also excluded.
What's the Supplementary Insurance add-on?
For 60p a month you can add Denplan Supplementary Insurance, covering temporary emergency treatment, dental injury, out-of-hours and overseas cover, a hospital cash benefit and mouth cancer cover. An optional Implant Upgrade (£2.25/month) adds cover for an implant following a trauma. Benefit limits and T&Cs apply.
Can I cancel if my circumstances change?
Yes. Denplan Essentials is flexible. If your situation changes, just speak to us and we'll help you adjust or cancel your plan in line with Denplan's terms.
